EOSC Data Commons at the EOSC Project Meeting in Brussels

On July 8-9, 2026, representatives from 34 Horizon Europe-funded projects gathered for the fifth annual coordination meeting of the EOSC-related projects. Convened by the European Commission (EC) and EOSC Tripartite Governance, the meeting was organised back-to-back with the meetup of 28 EOSC Nodes, a practical way to strengthen collaboration across the entire EOSC ecosystem, from governance to operational nodes and research communities.
Supporting Collaboration in the EOSC Ecosystem
The meeting featured the session "Collaboration opportunities within the EOSC Partnership" that provided an opportunity to reflect on progress, strengthen collaboration, and support the next phase of EOSC development.
In that framework, Enol Fernández, EOSC Data Commons' Technical Coordinator, presented the project and the ongoing collaboration with DataGems, LUMEN and RAISE Suite.

See You in Ghent for EGI2026!
During EGI2026, various sessions and demonstrations will guide participants through the latest developments in EOSC Data Commons: "Data-Compute partnership models for Research Infrastructures and repositories", co-organised by RI-SCALE and EOSC Data Commons, explores two emerging partnership models for integrating computational capabilities into data repositories to support multidisciplinary European research. "Automated discovery and matchmaking of scientific data and applications with the use of AI" is the first EOSC Data Commons' public session covering the core technical building blocks, the description of scientific tools to make them discoverable and machine-readable, and tips for repository providers to plug their data services into the EOSC Data Commons ecosystem. Last but not least, the demo "EOSC Data Commons services for interoperable data discovery and reuse" will explore the recently released services.
