DANS operates five repositories in scope with EOSC Data Commons: 4 domain-specific ones, and one generalist repository. These repositories are based on the Dataverse community edition, an open-source codebase that anyone can contribute to, but for which pull requests are evaluated by the community and either adopted (with or without modification), or rejected.

Objectives in the Project
- Automate the linking of data file types and tools by maintaining such links in an external catalogue
- Develop a single value-adding application that is configured once, and always up-to-date by reading information from the catalogue of tools
Integration with EOSC Data Commons Services and Components
The value-adding application will read tool-file type matches from the EOSC Data Commons Catalogue of Tools and, depending on the end user’s selection, utilise the Request Packager to forward packages to the appropriate platforms for deployment. DANS will approach the providers to advocate for the adoption of the specifications developed by EOSC Data Commons for the Data Player.
Technical Integration Plan
cDANS participates in the co-design activities for the Proof of Concept release by providing existing datasets of scientifi c data that is accessible by using OAI-PMH interface in DANS repositories.
DANS will integrate Matchmaker API and UI components in a test and demonstration version of Dataverse, deployed at DANS.
The integration of DANS Dataverse with the EOSC Matchmaker and the EOSC Data Player is completed, provided that the Dataverse community adopts any relevant pull requests in the Dataverse open source code as contributed by DANS on behalf of the project. DANS will register these pull requests as soon as production-ready versions of the Matchmaker are available, but cannot guarantee its adoption.
