Adopting the RDA GORC Typology and Definitions

RDA, the Research Data Alliance (RDA), has released a new adoption story describing the implementation plan of the Global Open Research Commons (GORC) Typology and Definitions in EOSC Data Commons.
In RDA, the Global Open Research Commons Interest Group aims to reach a shared understanding of what a “Commons” is in the research data space; what functionality, coverage, and characteristics such an initiative requires; and how this can be coordinated at a global level. The Global Open Research Commons (GORC) Typology and Definitions describes a typology of the essential elements of a Commons and provides definitions for each typology element.
In the adoption story, we describe how EOSC Data Commons will adopt the GORC framework, which outlines essential elements for research commons to promote interoperability and open data sharing globally.
